Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady had its Student Council Election on June 24th. The election was conducted in a systematic way following regular election procedures, including filing nominations, scrutinizing and Campaigning. In order to give students the experience of Voting Electronic voting app was used to conduct election.
Members of Scouts were appointed as volunteers for voting Booth. Teachers played the role of Booth Officers. Students from Class 5 to Class 10 were the eligible voters, considering their School ID card for identification. Head Master Rev Fr Clifford Pinto explained the procedure of election, briefed the responsibilities of the leaders. Candidates gave self introduction before voting began. The Headmaster, Staff and Candidates and students cast their vote. Three students from Class 10 were nominated for School Pupil Leader and Six students from Class 9 were nominated for Assistant School Pupil Leader. After voting immediately results were declared . Dhravya Bhandary of Class 10 was elected as School Pupil Leader and Nijith N.K of Class 9 was elected as Assistant School Pupil Leader. Teachers, Blendin Rodrigues, Preetha D’Souza and Renita Lasrado guided the students to participate in the election and all other Staff cooperated in making the election successful.
